WHAT IS A CRASH COURSE
A Star Auto & Manual provides intensive, or “crash”, driving courses throughout Derby.
We include a practical driving test, (and a theory test, too, if required), and driving lessons can usually be delivered in an automatic, or manual, dual-controlled tuition car.
Booked over one or two weeks, Derby crash courses give 3 to 8 hours of driving lessons every day, over 2 to 14 days.
A test at the end of the week is standard, and all lessons are carried out by driving instructors local to the area.
We offer free online theory training, (if you haven’t already passed it), which has over 2,500 mock questions and 135 hazard perception video clips to help you prepare for the theory test. We can even provide a quick “lessons-only” course if you have already booked your own practical driving test.
Our crash course residential course may suit you best if you have already passed your theory test and need to take your driving test quickly even if there is a long waiting period at you local test centre!
If you are willing to travel we are able to book tests within 14 days in some parts of the country and we’ll make the necessary arrangements for you, although any additional cost for travel and accommodation will need to be met by you.
(All extra charges for travel or accommodation will need to be added to any course charge provided on this site)
A crash course is a great way to pass your test in a short space of time, and here at A Star Auto & Manual we have everything you need to get you well on the way. Our courses have proven to be a huge success since starting them up, and have seen a large percentage of students passing their practical test first time. These are also great for learners in the run up to their test, to really make sure every aspect of your driving is ready for the roads.
DO THEY WORK?
A crash driving course isn’t the ideal solution for everyone, therefore it depends on the learner to an extent – but we are hugely confident in the success rate of our courses. The majority of people have a regular lesson once a week for example, but by learning to drive every day in a short period gives you more familiarity and confidence, therefore gaining skills and awareness quicker.
